Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from ISTerre laboratory (CNRS/Université Grenoble Alpes), HYMAG’IN initially set out to tackle environmental challenges by harnessing ultrafine magnetite particles for soil and water remediation. In 2022, the French startup executed a strategic pivot, recognizing the exceptional electromagnetic properties of magnetite, and shifted its core business toward managing electromagnetic interference (EMI), particularly within defense and high-tech sectors.

To support this ambitious industrial transition, HYMAG'IN successfully raised €2.2 million in early 2024. This funding was dedicated to scaling up production capacities, reinforcing operational structures, and preparing for significant sales growth expected to commence in 2025.

This major milestone was accompanied by substantial team expansion, clearly reflecting the company's ambition to scale. In 2024, HYMAG’IN welcomed three new full-time employees: an RF engineer tasked with enhancing product performance and developing cutting-edge electromagnetic solutions, a sales representative dedicated to accelerating market penetration, and an industrial development manager specifically hired to oversee and drive forward the industrialization efforts. This strategic recruitment aligns perfectly with the startup’s commitment to transitioning from laboratory innovation to robust industrial production.

Additionally, two apprentices joined the team, one specializing in marketing and communication and the other in R&D. This proactive growth demonstrates how HYMAG’IN is actively evolving beyond its origins as a promising research-focused startup, positioning itself firmly as an innovative industrial player on both the national and international stage.

With its first sales achieved in 2024 and active participation in numerous industry events, including more than fifteen already planned for 2025, HYMAG'IN continues to build momentum, steadily establishing itself as a key French innovator in electromagnetic solutions.
